Lompoc Pops Publicity
Your POPS ORCHESTRA returns on Sunday, March 30th at 4 pm for an incredible afternoon of fabulous music highlighting cherished pieces from the 1960s and '70s.
Featured vocalist Wendy Laurier is coming from her native Canada just for this special event, performing a tribute to Karen Carpenter. You'll be thrilled to hear once again such great hits as "Top of the World", "Rainey Days and Mondays", "For All We Know", "We've Only Just Begun", and a number of others. She's also throwing in the Linda Ronstadt version of "Blue Bayou" due to a special request from several Pops donors. The orchestra is also planning to highlight both a Beatles and a Beach Boys medley, too!
This concert is likely to be a sellout, so patrons might want to arrive a bit early. Doors open at 3:15 p.m. at Lompoc's First United Methodist Church, 925 North F Street.
Admission remains $5 for full-time students of all ages (student ID at the door) and $25 for general admission. Children 12 and under are welcomed free of charge, and there's a special discount for active duty Military (please show ID).
You are encouraged to contact Evelyn Baxter at 805-733-1796 for advance tickets.
